Enthält 2 Ladungen (5 Mana) Die Wards können an einer Stelle platztiert werden, um dann für 3 Minuten lang eine Truesight-Eigenschaft zu besitzen. Die eigene Sichtweite der Sentry Wards ist minimal, man kann aber durch Observer Wards oder vorbeilaufende Helden die Sichtweite erhöhen. Sichtweite: 200 Truesight-Sichtweite: 800

Strategie

Man kann Sentry Wards einsetzen, um gegnerische unsichtbare Einheiten zu sehen oder gegnerische Wards zu zerstören. Die Sentry-Wards können durch gegnerische Truesight enttarnt werden.

Bevorzugt werden Sentries eingesetzt, wenn sich in einem bestimmten Gebiet über längere Zeit unsichtbare Gegner oder Wards befinden könnten, so z.B. Gondar oder Bone im Early auf der Lane, Broodmother in einem ihrer Netze, Lanaya mit Meld, ein potentielles Techies-Minenfeld oder gängige Wardspots.

Vorteile der Sentry Wards

• billiger als Gem, wird nicht gedroppt, stationär (allerdings oft auch ein Nachteil)
• viel billiger als Necronomicon Level 3, kein Cooldown
• leicht teurer als Dust, jedoch im Inventar stapelbar und kein Cooldown
